Description

This six-bedroom, four-bathroom colonial revival-style historic home is located just east of UAB near the Red Mountain area of Birmingham. Feel at home in this spacious residence with a fenced yard, perfect for accommodating multiple families. Enjoy the convenience of being walkable to numerous restaurants and the UAB Campus, just 6 minutes north of the Zoo, and a 20-minute drive to hiking and trails at Red Mountain Park. The large outside deck with seating, picnic table, and grill adds to the charm of this home, which includes a one-bedroom, one-bathroom lower-level apartment.

The entrance to the home opens to a seating area with a decorative fireplace. The main floor features a large living space with pull-out couches, a TV, and a foosball table. A large dining table seats ten, with a full kitchen adjoining the dining room. An office with a designated work area and two smaller fold-out futons opens to the deck through French doors. The main floor also includes a bedroom with a full bed. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, two bedrooms each have two queen beds, and another room has two bunk beds. There are three full bathrooms, two with tubs and one with a shower. The downstairs unit includes a king-size bedroom, full bathroom, eat-in kitchenette, Roku TV, and queen sleeper sofa. The stairwell connecting the upstairs and downstairs is unfinished, which may be a challenge for older guests or those with mobility issues. For these guests, accessing the lower unit by walking around the side of the home and entering through the back door is recommended.

Add-ons

A pack 'n play/travel crib is available upon request. Pets are welcome with a non-refundable pet fee. Pets must be crated when left unattended, are not allowed on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. Additional cleaning costs due to pets will be charged if necessary.

Keep in mind

Guests will have full access to the entire home, including both units and the fenced yard. Enjoy privacy and contact-free check-in with a digital door code provided prior to arrival. The stairway inside connecting the two units is unfinished, which may be difficult to navigate for anyone with mobility issues. Parking can be limited, so it's advised to limit the number of cars as street parking can be a challenge on busier days or nights.
